Ingredients

175 g butter , frozen
225 g plain flour
450 g sausage meat
3 red chilies , finely sliced ( to taste )
1 tablespoon paprika
1 large onion , grated
3 garlic cloves , minced
1 tablespoon chopped sage
1 egg , beaten
2 tablespoons milk
salt and pepper , to taste
These Easy Chilli Sausage Rolls are a twist on the classic British snack. Packed with spicy flavor, they are perfect for lunch boxes, parties and picnics. The sausage meat is mixed with onions, garlic and sage, and rolls up into a golden pastry case. The sliced chillies give them a spicy kick that will excite your taste buds. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2.In a large bowl, mix together sausage meat, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped sage, paprika and finely sliced chillies. Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined.
3.Roll out the pastry on to a floured surface and with the help of a rolling pin, stretch it into a rectangle.
4.Divide the sausage meat mix into two and form into two long sausage shapes and place them lengthways down the middle of the pastry. Brush a little beaten egg down one side of the pastry and bring the other side over to meet it and press down.
5.Cut each roll into three or four pieces as desired and place the sausage rolls onto a baking tray with parchment paper. Brush egg wash over the tops.
6.Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden in color. Serve hot and enjoy!
