Ingredients

2 tablespoons besan ( gram flour )
1 tablespoon green chili pepper
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon shallot
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 curry leaves
2 teaspoons sugar ( approx . )
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
2 cups fresh yoghurt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoons ghee
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 pinch asafoetida powder
1 red chili pepper
salt
11 . 1 onions , chopped 1 tablespoons chopped coriander , 1 green chili chopped ( optional )
Dumpling Kadhi, also known as Kaka-Dudhi ni Kadhi, is a popular Gujarati dish. It is often served with rice or roti and is a great meal for lunch or dinner. This dish consists of small gram flour dumplings that are cooked in a tangy yoghurt based sauce. The dumplings are soft and creamy and are perfect to be eaten on a cold, rainy day. Instructions

1.In a bowl mix gram flour with water to form a smooth batter. Add salt and make small dumplings from the batter
2.Boil 2 cups of water in a deep pan. Add the dumplings and boil for 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
3.Beat the yoghurt and mix it with turmeric, sugar and salt. Add this mix to the dumplings. Simmer for 10 minutes.
4.Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds. When they start to splutter, add garlic, green chili pepper, asafoetida powder, shallot and onion to the mix. Fry the mix till onions turn golden brown. Add the red chili pepper and curry leaves to the mix. Add this mixture to the kadhi and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
5.Garnish with chopped coriander and green chili (optional).
