Ingredients

400 g creamy cottage cheese ( malai paneer )
1 inch ginger
4 -5 cloves garlic
2 -3 green chilies
2 onions
2 tablespoons oil ( Butter or pure ghee can be substituted with oil . )
1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons pure ghee
2 bay leaves
1 inch cinnamon
3 -4 green cardamoms
3 -4 cloves
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt ( Light cream can be substituted with plain yogurt . )
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon peppercorn , crushed
2 tablespoons coriander powder
1/4 cup light cream
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
Dum Paneer(Tofu) Kalimirch is a vegetarian Indian dish that is made using paneer (a type of cottage cheese), yogurt, and a variety of spices. Instructions

1.In a blender, puree ginger, garlic, green chilies, and 1 onion to form a smooth paste. Set aside.

3.Add the pureed mixture to the pan and cook until fragrant.
4.Add coriander, mint, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves to the pan. Cook for another minute or two.
5.In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, salt, crushed peppercorn, and coriander powder. Mix well.
6.Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan, stir, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
7.Add paneer cubes and light cream to the pan, stirring gently to coat.
8.Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until the paneer is heated through.
9.Sprinkle garam masala and cumin powder over the top and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
