Ingredients

4 ounces sesame seeds
3 ounces hazelnuts or 3 ounces roasted chickpeas
2 ounces coriander seeds
1 ounce cumin seed
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black peppercorns
1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 teaspoon mint
Dukka is a traditional Egyptian spice blend made of toasted nuts, seeds, and spices. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.Place sesame seeds and hazelnuts (or roasted chickpeas) on a baking sheet and bake until lightly golden brown and fragrant, about 8-10 minutes.
3.In a dry skillet or pan, toast the coriander and cumin seeds until fragrant and lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
4.Once toasted, add the seeds and nuts to a food processor or mortar and pestle, and pulse or grind until coarsely ground.
5.Add in the salt, black pepper, and dried thyme or mint and pulse or grind a few more times to combine all ingredients.
