Ingredients

5 lbs duck
1 1/4 cups water
6 tablespoons dry sherry
4 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar

4 tablespoons american style barbecue sauce
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 pineapple
4 green onions
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 teaspoons gingerroot , diced
1 garlic clove , crushed
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Duck with Pineapple is a classic dish that has been enjoyed for many years. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Clean and rinse the duck thoroughly before patting it dry with paper towels.
3.In a mixing bowl, combine water, dry sherry, white vinegar, soy sauce, American-style barbecue sauce, and five-spice powder to create the marinade.
4.Marinate the duck in the mixture for 3-4 hours in the refrigerator.
5.Remove the duck from the marinade and place it in a baking dish, covering it with aluminum foil and cooking for 60-75 minutes.
6.While the duck is cooking, prepare the pineapple by peeling and removing the core before slicing it into small pieces.
