Ingredients

1 - 2 1/2 lb chicken , cut into 8 serving pieces
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
2 onions , finely chopped
1/4 cup niter kebbeh
3 cloves garlic , minced
1 teaspoon finely chopped gingerroot
1/4 teaspoon ground fenugreek
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup berbere
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 cup dry red wine
3/4 cup water
4 hard-boiled eggs
freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

6.Add the hard-boiled eggs and simmer for 15 more minutes.
7.Season with black pepper and serve hot with injera or rice.
