Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 160C (325F). Grease and line a 22cm round cake tin
2.Place the dates, bicarbonate of soda and tea in a bowl and set aside for 10 minutes.

4.Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 1 hour or until cooked when tested with a skewer.
5.Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
