3 tea bags
1/3 cup boiling water
125 g butter , softened
3 eggs
2/3 cup caster sugar
1 3/4 cups self-raising flour
1/3 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

1.Place the tea bags in a bowl and pour boiling water over.
2.Allow the tea to cool
3.Preheat oven to 160C/325F, then line a 12 hole muffin tin with liners.
4.Beat together the butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
5.Add one egg at a time, beating each time. Scrape down sides.
6.Fold in the flour, then the cooled tea.
7.Stir in the almonds.
8.Divide the mixture among the muffin cases.
9.Bake for 18-20 minutes.
10.Transfer to the rack to cool. Serve and enjoy!
