Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds potatoes , peeled and cubed
4 slices bacon
1/2 small head cabbage , chopped
1 large onion , chopped
1/2 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1.Rinse and Scrub potatoes, then cut into pieces and cover with water in a large pot
2.Bring to a boil and cook until tender
3.While potatoes are boiling, cook the bacon in a large skillet until crispy
4.Remove bacon and place on paper towel to dry
5.In the same skillet, sauté the onions until they start to become translucent
6.Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet with a little salt and pepper and sauté until it starts to soften
7.Drain the potatoes and mash until smooth
8.Add the bacon, onions, and cabbage to the potatoes and mix well
9.Pour in the milk and melted butter and stir until everything is combined.
