Ingredients

400 g ground lamb ( I use lean organic )
1 large onion
2 carrots
3 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
3/4 cup red wine ( I use a merlot )
1/2 pint lamb gravy ( see recipe below if desired )
1 lamb stock cube ( Knorr )
1/2 pint cold water
4 teaspoons bisto , original gravy powder
This lamb, rosemary and red wine casserole is a comforting and delicious meal that's perfect for warming you up on a chilly evening. The use of ground lamb, rosemary and red wine gives this casserole a unique and rich flavor. The dish is best served with some mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 160C (320F).
2.Heat some oil in a large ovenproof casserole dish and add the ground lamb, cook until browned.
3.Add the chopped onion, sliced carrots and minced garlic, and cook until the vegetables have softened.
4.Add the dried rosemary, red wine, lamb gravy, lamb stock cube, cold water and bisto gravy powder. Stir together well.
5.Transfer the casserole dish to the oven and cook for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until the lamb is fully cooked and tender.
