Ingredients

4 1/2 cups flour
1 package dry yeast ( about 2 teaspoons )
6 eggs
6 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange blossom water
7 ounces butter ( not tub or spread product ) or 7 ounces margarine ( not tub or spread product )
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 cups confectioners ' sugar
1 -2 tablespoon milk

Day of the Dead Bread or Pan De Muerto is a delicious bread associated with one of the popular Mexican festivals known as ''Dia de Muertos'' or ''Day of the Dead.'' This bread is typically enjoyed and given as an offering to the deceased loved ones. Native to the states of Mexico, this bread is often prepared using sweet, enriches dough that is brought to life with a hint of orange blossom water. This Day of the Dead Bread also has a deeper meaning, symbolizing the circle of life and death.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix 4 cups of flour, yeast, eggs, egg yolks, sugar, orange blossom water, and mix well.
2.Knead in softened butter or margarine to the mixture and form a dough ball.
3.Knead the dough on a floured surface until it's soft and elastic.
4.Put the dough into a greased bowl and cover it up to rest for an hour until it rises.
5.Preheat the oven to 350^F.
6.Combine the remaining half cup of flour, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, and sprinkle the mixture evenly on top of the risen ball of dough.
7.Use your hands to roll bits of the dough into bone-like shapes and arrange on top of the dough so it resembles a skull or the crown.
8.Bake for 45 minutes or till the bread reaches a golden-brown colour. Once cooked, place it on a cooling rack to cool for 15 minutes.
9.Combine powdered sugar and milk, top the bread while it's still hot, and sprinkle candy sprinkles on top.
