Instructions

1.Rinse the kale leaves and remove the stalks. Thinly slice the leaves.
2.Remove the sausages from the casings and crumble the meat. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, stirring occasionally.
3.Add onion, garlic, and jalapeno to the pot. Cook until the onion is translucent for about 5 minutes.
4.Add tomatoes (with juice), chicken broth, water, kale, butter, parsley, basil, oregano, Season-All salt, and red pepper flakes to the pot. Bring to a boil then drop the heat to simmer.
5.Allow the soup to gently simmer until the kale is tender and the flavors have melded for about 20 minutes. Stir a few times.
6.Serve the soup hot, garnished with a little grated parmesan cheese if you like.
