Danish Cinnamon Snails, also known as kanelsnegle, are a traditional pastry in Denmark. These sweet treats are often enjoyed as a snack or dessert, especially during the holiday season. The combination of buttery dough and cinnamon filling creates a delicious aroma that will leave your mouth watering. The chewy texture of the dough is a perfect contrast to the crispy exterior. Try pairing them with a cup of coffee, tea, or milk.

Instructions

.In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, cake yeast, butter, eggs, cardamom, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.
.Gradually mix in flour until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
.Cover the dough in a bowl with a damp cloth, and let it rise for at least an hour in a warm place.
.Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Grease a baking tray with cooking spray or butter.
.Roll out the dough into a large rectangle shape.
.For the filling, combine softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Mix until well combined.
.Spread the filling onto the dough. Roll up the dough to form a log, and cut it into slices.
.Place the slices onto the baking tray and let them rest for 15 minutes.
