Ingredients

1 small onion , chopped
2 green chilies , chopped
1 tomatoes , chopped
3/4 inch ginger , crushed
1/4 cup red kidney beans ( rajma )
1/4 cup black gram dal ( whole urad )
1/4 cup channa dal
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon fresh cream
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 tablespoons oil
salt
cilantro , chopped ( for garnishing )
Dal Maharani, also known as the Queen of Indian Lentils, is a rich and creamy lentil dish that originated in the northern region of India. This dish is made with three different types of lentils, combined with aromatic spices, and finished with butter and fresh cream to create a satisfying and hearty meal. Instructions

1.Soak red kidney beans and black gram dal in 3 cups of water overnight.
2.Pressure cook the soaked beans and dal with salt and 2 cups of water for 15 to 20 minutes on a medium flame.
3.Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and green chilies, saute for 3 minutes.
4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes.
5.Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and crushed ginger, cook for 2 minutes.
6.Add the cooked beans and dal along with 1 cup water and simmer on low flame for 15 minutes.
7.Add butter and fresh cream, stir well.
8.Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
