Ingredients

1 cup besan ( chickpea flour )
1 pinch baking soda
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon chopped mint leaf
1 -2 green chili , chopped
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic paste
1/8 teaspoon cumin powder
1/8 teaspoon coriander powder
1/8 teaspoon turmeric
1 tablespoon yoghurt
1 cup yoghurt
3/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon chopped of fresh mint
1 -2 chopped green chili
1 teaspoon whole cumin seed
4 -5 fresh curry leaves
3 -4 dried red chilies
1/4 cup oil
Dahi Bada is a popular snack in North India, mainly in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. It is also popular in other parts of India, such as Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Dahi Bada is a street food that is sold by street vendors in the evening. It is a deep-fried snack that is made of ground lentils and is usually served with yogurt, tamarind chutney and green chutney. Dahi Bada is a perfect snack for those who love spicy and tangy food. Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, take besan, baking soda, chopped cilantro, chopped mint leaves, chopped green chili, red chili powder, salt, ginger, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric and 1 tablespoon of yogurt. Mix them well to form a smooth batter.
2.Add 3/4 cup of water gradually to the batter and mix well.
3.In a separate bowl, whisk 1 cup of yogurt and add 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Set it aside.
4.Heat 1/4 cup of oil in a pan over medium heat. Drop the batter using a spoon into the hot oil. Fry till golden brown in color. Fry the remaining batter likewise.
5.Soak the fried vadas in water for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze out the water from the vadas and place them in a serving tray.
6.Pour the prepared yogurt mixture on top of the vadas.
7.In a small pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, dried red chilies, curry leaves and chopped green chilies. Fry till crisp and pour this tempering over the top of yogurt mixture. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and mint leaves.
