3 whole peppercorns
3 whole allspice berries
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried marjoram

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Cut off the tops of the green peppers, and remove the seeds and membranes.
3.In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, 1 chopped onion, rice, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper.
4.Stuff the meat mixture into each pepper and place them in a baking dish.
5.In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
6.Add the remaining chopped onions to the pot and cook until they are soft and translucent.
7.Add the canned tomatoes, peppercorns, allspice berries, ground allspice, dried oregano, dried marjoram, salt, and pepper to the pot.
8.Cook the tomato sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
9.Pour the tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers in the baking dish.
10.Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
11.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
12.Let the peppers cool for a few minutes before serving with a dollop of sour cream on top.
