Ingredients

1 tablespoon curry powder
1 1/4 cups plain flour
1/4 cup self-raising flour
100 g butter
1 egg , lightly beaten
1 teaspoon water , approximately
1 egg white , lightly beaten
salt , to taste
caraway seed , to taste

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

4.Mix the beaten egg with the water until combined, and add to the flour mixture. Mix until the dough comes together.
5.Roll the dough out on a lightly floured work surface until it is about 5mm/0.25in thick.
6.Cut the dough into crackers with a sharp knife.
7.Place the crackers on the prepared baking tray, brush the tops with beaten egg white and sprinkle with salt and caraway seeds.
8.Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crisp.
9.Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
