Ingredients

12 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 /tsp salt and pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter
5 medium onions , finely chopped
6 garlic cloves , minced
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1 pinch cayenne pepper
one can tomatoes , 35 ounce italian , coarsely crushed with their liquid
2 cups chicken stock or 2 cups broth
3 cups sour cream
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon saffron thread
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1/3 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
fresh coriander ( to garnish )

Instructions

1.Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces and season with salt and pepper.
2.Coat the chicken pieces with flour and shake off any excess.

4.Reduce heat to medium and add onions, garlic, cumin seed, turmeric, and caraway seed. Cook until the onions are softened.
5.Add the tomatoes, chicken stock, sour cream, light brown sugar, tomato paste, saffron thread, crushed red pepper flakes, ground cloves, and nutmeg. Stir until well combined.
6.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
7.Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
