2 garlic cloves

1 lemon , juiced
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin , plus a little extra to serve
1 teaspoon olive oil
6 pita breads , warmed to serve

Instructions

1.In a mortar, crush the garlic and sea salt until it forms a paste. If you don’t have a mortar, chop the garlic as finely as possible, sprinkle with the salt and then use the flat of your knife to smear and crush the garlic and salt together to form a paste.
2.In a bowl, mix together the crushed garlic and salt, Greek yogurt, tahini paste, lemon juice, ground cumin and olive oil until thoroughly combined.
3.Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning, adding more salt, lemon or cumin as needed.
4.Spoon the dip into a serving bowl, drizzle with a little extra olive oil and sprinkle with some extra cumin before serving with warmed pita breads.
