Cuernitos Menonitas, or Mennonite "little horns," are a traditional Mexican snack or appetizer. These savory horns are made with crescent roll dough and filled with finely grated mennonite cheese and mennonite salami, giving them a distinct savory flavor. The horns are small enough to be a perfect one-bite snack, and can be enjoyed hot or cold. They are great for parties, game days, or just as a quick snack on the go. Because they are easy to make and can be frozen for later, they are also a convenient option for busy families.

Instructions

.Preheat oven to 375°F.
.In a large bowl, mix together the finely grated mennonite cheese, chopped mennonite salami, and egg until well combined.
.Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
.Cut each triangle into thirds, forming small triangles.
.Place a spoonful of the cheese and salami mixture onto each small triangle and roll up, forming a small horn or crescent shape.
.Place the crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
.In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and ice-cold water to form an egg wash.
.Brush the egg wash onto each crescent.
.Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
