1 box chocolate cake mix , dry
1 box instant chocolate pudding mix ( not sugar-free , dry )
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil , plus
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup cruzan dark rum
4 large eggs , beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 lb semi-sweet chocolate bit
3/4 cup chopped nuts ( walnuts , pecans , hazelnuts , or a combination ) ( optional )
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cruzan dark rum
1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a bundt pan with cooking spray.

3.Mix in the milk, vegetable oil, rum, eggs, and almond extract and whisk until smooth.
4.Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate bits and, optionally, the chopped nuts.

8.Stir in the sugar and rum and bring the mixture to a boil.
9.Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
10.Remove from the heat and stir in the almond extract.
11.Slowly pour the glaze over the cooled cake, letting it soak in before adding more. Serve and enjoy!
