2 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
Crowdie-Mowdie is a traditional Scottish dessert that has been enjoyed for centuries. Instructions

1.Mix oatmeal and salt together in a bowl
2.Gradually add milk and stir until well combined
3.Pour mixture into a greased pudding basin or bowl
4.Cover tightly with foil or a lid
5.Place in a large pot with boiling water, making sure the water level comes ⅔ of the way up the pudding basin
6.Steam for 2-3 hours, checking the water level and adding more boiling water as necessary
7.When done, carefully remove the bowl from the pot and let cool for a few minutes before removing the foil or lid
8.Serve warm with your desired toppings
