Instructions

1.In a small bowl, whisk together the gochugaru red pepper powder, gochujang chili paste, soy sauce, maple syrup or honey, and roasted sesame seed oil.
2.Cut the rice cakes into bite-sized pieces and toss them with the sauce until well coated.
3.Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
4.Add the rice cakes to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they have browned and become crispy.
5.Serve the Crispy Chili Rice Cakes hot, garnished with chopped green onions and black sesame seeds.
