4 tablespoons sugar
1 cup heavy cream , stiffly whipped with ( optional )
1 tablespoon sugar , and ( optional )
1/2 teaspoon vanilla ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 400°F.

4.Bake the apples until tender, about 45 minutes, basting several times with the mulled wine mixture.
5.Plate the apples and spoon some of the mulled wine sauce over each apple. Top each with a dollop of whipped cream and serve warm.
