Ingredients

1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice , plus
1/4 cup apple juice
6 ounces fresh cranberries , picked over
1 granny smith apple , peeled , cored , and sliced
3 cups ice cubes
6 ounces cuervo gold tequila
1 1/2 ounces triple sec or 1 1/2 ounces Grand Marnier ( 3 tablespoons )
3 ounces liquid , whiskey-sour mix
2 ounces Rose 's lime juice
The Cranberry Margarita recipe is a perfect blend of fresh, tangy, sweet, and sour ingredients. Originating from Mexico, this drink is the perfect variation of a classic tequila cocktail with a fruity twist. The Lightship Restaurant adopted a unique twist to the traditional Margarita recipe by adding cranberries, which not only complements the tequila's flavor but also provides additional health benefits. This refreshing cocktail is ideal for any occasion, whether it's a party or a chill-out session with friends.

Instructions

1.Combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup apple juice, cranberries, and slices of granny smith apple in a saucepan and stir over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves and the cranberries start to burst.
2.Simmer for 7-8 minutes while stirring occasionally.
3.Remove from heat and let cool. After it's cool, puree the mixture in a blender.
4.Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher and discard solids.
5.Add the remaining 1/4 cup apple juice, cuervo gold tequila, triple sec or Grand Marnier, whiskey-sour mix, and Rose's lime juice to the pitcher and stir to combine.
6.Place ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and pour the margarita mixture on top.
7.Shake to chill and strain into glasses.
8.Serve chilled.
