Instructions

2.In another medium bowl, whisk together the egg, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, chopped onion, chopped granny smith apple, 1 tablespoon minced parsley, tarragon, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne, salt, pepper, and fresh lemon juice.
3.Add the lump crabmeat to the bowl with the egg mixture and mix until just combined, being careful not to break up the lumps of crabmeat.
4.Shape the crab mixture into 8 patties and coat each one thoroughly with seasoned bread crumbs.
5.Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
6.Add the crab cakes to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
7.Serve the crab cakes hot with the roasted red pepper sauce on the side.
