Ingredients

2/3 cup mayonnaise
5 egg yolks
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup crushed , chopped parsley
2 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
2 lbs crabmeat
Crab cakes are a classic American seafood dish that originated in the Chesapeake Bay region. It is made primarily of crabmeat, spices, and breadcrumbs, formed into patties and fried. Instructions

1.Mix mayonnaise, egg yolks, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, black pepper, salt, blackening seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes together in a large bowl.
2.Add crab meat to the bowl and gently mix by hand ensuring not to break up the lumps of crab meat.
3.Add chopped parsley and breadcrumbs to the bowl and mix together.
4.Shape the mixture into eight to ten patties.
5.Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the crab cakes and fry for four minutes per side or until golden brown.
6.Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce of mayonnaise, tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon juice.

PROS

Crab cakes are easy to make and are a crowd-pleaser.
