3 tablespoons oil
2 large onions , chopped
2 1/2 lbs lamb , cubed
3 tomatoes , chopped
400 ml coconut milk
salt

Instructions

1.Grind the coconut, red chilies, paprika, ginger, garlic, coriander, peppercorns, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cumin, and poppy seed in a blender into a fine paste.
2.Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and saute until golden brown.
3.Add the lamb cubes and fry until browned on all sides.
4.Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are softened.
5.Add the spice paste mixture and fry over medium heat for 5 minutes.
6.Pour in the coconut milk and salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally, until the lamb is tender and the sauce has thickened.
