2 -4 peppercorns

1 onion , sliced
1 cup fenugreek leaves , chopped ( methi )
1/2 cup sweet corn
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder ( haldi )
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon oil
salt

Instructions

1.Soak the basmati rice in water for 15-20 minutes and then drain it.

4.Add chopped methi leaves and sweet corn to the pan and fry for a minute.

6.Pour enough water into the pan to cover the rice and add salt to taste.
7.Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the rice until cooked.
8.Serve hot with raita and pickle.
