Instructions

1.In a small bowl, dissolve 1 tablespoon of yeast and 2 teaspoons of yeast in scalded milk.
2.Add sugar and 4 cups of flour to the yeast mixture and mix well.
3.Incorporate 1 cup of soft butter, salt, and eggs.
4.Gradually add 2 cups of flour and baking powder until the dough is smooth.
5.Knead the dough and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
6.Divide the dough into balls and let them rest for another 15 minutes.
7.In another bowl, mix powdered sugar, 1/2 cup of soft butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and cocoa (optional).
8.On each dough ball, put a spoonful of the sugar mixture and use a knife to make a pattern on top.
9.Let the conchas rest for another 20 minutes.
10.Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the bread for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
