3 cups vietnamese chicken stock ( Zaar recipe 184464 )
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

1.Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear, then transfer to a large saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
2.In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic and grated ginger.
3.Add the oil to the saucepan with the rice.
4.Pour in enough chicken stock to cover the rice by 1/2 inch and then stir in the ginger and garlic mixture.
5.Bring the rice to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, uncovered.
6.Reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan.
7.Simmer the rice for 18-20 minutes, or until the rice has absorbed all the liquid and is tender, then remove from the heat.
8.Fluff the rice with a fork.
9.Add the cilantro and mix well. Serve warm.
