Ingredients

1/2 cup fresh coconut , grated
4 -5 medium fresh green chilies , washed , ends trimmed and chopped
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 cup tamarind paste
1 -2 red chile
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
6 -7 fresh curry leaves , washed
2 tablespoons pure wesson canola oil
2 pinches asafoetida powder
salt
okra , as required , washed and chopped into small pcs .

Instructions

1.In a blender, combine grated coconut, green chilies, turmeric powder, tamarind paste, and red chili. Add water to form a fine paste.
2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Let it splutter then add curry leaves, asafoetida powder, and red chili. Mix well.
3.Add chopped okra and stir well. Cook covered for 5-7 minutes on medium flame, stirring occasionally.
4.Add the coconut paste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes until the okra is cooked and the curry is well blended.
5.Serve hot with rice or chapati.
