Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie is a popular dessert in Hawaii, perfect for tropical weather. This pie has two layers of flavor: a creamy coconut layer made from coconut milk and a rich chocolate layer made from semi-sweet chocolate chips. The haupia layer is similar to pudding and is made from a mixture of coconut milk, sugar, and cornstarch, resulting in a rich and coconutty flavor. The chocolate layer is made by melting semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream together, creating a rich and velvety topping. The pie is typically served cold and can be garnished with whipped cream or toasted coconut flakes for an extra texture and flavor.
