Ingredients

1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon water
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup coarsely grated carrot
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon finely chopped flat leaf parsley ( may use curly parsley )
1/2 teaspoon emeril 's original essence seasoning
1/2 teaspoon sea salt ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, combine chia seeds and 1/2 cup water. Let mixture sit for 10-15 minutes.
2.In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil and 1 tablespoon water until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
3.In a large bowl, combine ground beef, grated carrot, cilantro, parsley, essence seasoning, sea salt, chia seed mixture and sautéed onion and garlic. Mix thoroughly.
4.Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook burgers to desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side.
5.Serve hot and enjoy!
