Ingredients

2 tablespoons caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 sheet ready-rolled frozen butter puff pastry , just thawed
1 egg white , lightly whisked

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan) mark 7.
2.Mix the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
3.Put the pastry on a floured surface and roll out a little to thin it slightly.
4.Brush some egg whites over the pastry sheet and sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mix on top.
5.Cut the pastry into strips approximately 1cm wide and twist each strip into a twig.
6.Place the twigs onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
7.Brush more egg whites on top and sprinkle the remaining sugar-cinnamon mix on top.
8.Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes till golden brown.
9.Once done, take them out and serve when slightly cooled.
