Ingredients

6 green cardamom pods
1 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons caster sugar
2 cinnamon apple tea bags
500 ml boiling water
2 tablespoons ouzo
ice cube , to serve
This Cinnamon & Ouzo Iced Tea is a unique spin on classic iced tea and is perfect for hot summer days when you need a refreshing beverage. This recipe uses bashed green cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks to create a unique flavor, which is then enhanced by the addition of ouzo. Ouzo is a Greek anise-flavored aperitif that gives this iced tea a refreshing twist. Instructions

1.In a mortar and pestle/piece of cloth and hammer, slightly bash the green cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks to release their flavors.
2.Place the bashed cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks into a heat-resistant jug, add the caster sugar and tea bags then pour over the boiling water.
3.Stir once or twice and allow the tea to infuse for 3 minutes.
4.Discard the tea bags and stir in the ouzo.
5.Allow to cool then place in the fridge to chill.
6.To serve, put a few ice cubes into a glass and pour over the iced tea.

CONS
