Cinco de Chili Chocolate Cupcakes with Chili Cream Cheese Frosting are a great way to celebrate the spicy holiday of Cinco de Mayo and pay homage to Mexico's vibrant food culture. The combination of chocolate and chili is inspired by the ancient Aztecs, who were known to mix cocoa with spices like chili and cinnamon. These cupcakes are perfect for spice enthusiasts who prefer a little bit of heat with their sweet treats. The chili cream cheese frosting is smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of spiciness to balance the heat of the cupcake. The small dried red chilies serve as the perfect garnish, adding a pop of color to this dessert.
