1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon mustard powder

Chris's Barbecue Chicken with Soy Sauce and Tomato Paste is a delicious take on classic BBQ chicken. The marinade adds depth and flavor to the chicken, and the BBQ sauce gives it a nice caramelized finish on the outside while keeping it moist and juicy on the inside. This recipe is perfect for a summer BBQ or an easy weeknight dinner for the family.

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, whisk together the onion, cider (or white wine), soy sauce, tomato paste, mustard powder, garlic, and brown sugar.
2.Add chicken thighs to the bowl and coat with the marinade.
3.Let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
4.Preheat an outdoor grill on medium heat.
5.Remove chicken from marinade, discard the marinade, and season with black pepper.
6.Grill the chicken thighs, basting with BBQ sauce and turning over occasionally, until they are golden brown and the internal temperature is 165°F, about 15-20 minutes.
7.Remove the chicken thighs from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

PROS

This recipe is easy and quick to make, and the result is a flavorful and tender chicken dish with a nice BBQ sauce.

It is also low in calories and high in protein.

CONS

Chicken thighs may contain more fat than other parts of the chicken, but this recipe calls for skinless thighs which are leaner.

Be careful not to overcook the chicken, as it can become dry and tough.
