1 large tomatoes , chopped

2 cans chickpeas , drain one
1 bunch fresh cilantro , chopped

Cholay is a classic Pakistani and Northern Indian dish made by simmering chickpeas in a spiced tomato sauce. This simple and flavorful recipe can be enjoyed as a hearty lunch or dinner. Instructions

1.Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

4.Cook the spices, stirring frequently, until fragrant (about 1 minute).

6.Pour in the canned chickpeas (along with the liquid from one can) and let it simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes until the chickpeas are tender.
7.Add in fresh cilantro and lime juice before serving hot.
