Ingredients

9 ounces dark chocolate
13 ounces whipped double cream
1 half inch sponge cake base , plain or 1 chocolate
1 dash favourite liqueur
24 black cherries
2 1/2 ounces white chocolate
2 ounces water

Instructions

1.Melt the chocolate using double boiler method and allow it to cool slightly.
2.Whip double cream until thick and add melted chocolate and stir together.
3.Cut the sponge cake base into two and brush one side with the favourite liqueur.
4.Spread the chocolate mixture between both halves and on top as well.
5.Leave in the fridge for approximately 1-2 hours for the chocolate to set.
6.Melt the white chocolate and slowly whisk in the water to make a smooth sauce.
7.Serve the gateau with black cherries and drizzle some white chocolate sauce on top.
