2 cups sifted unbleached flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup minus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
12 ounces semisweet chocolate morsels
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons whiskey or 2 tablespoons brandy

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

8.Using a serrated knife, cut the loaves on the diagonal into slices about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) thick. Arrange the slices flat on the baking sheet and return to the oven.
9.Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned.
