Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.

3.In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks with the remaining 1 cup of sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add the orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract.

5.Fold the egg yolk mixture into the nut mixture, then gently fold in the egg whites until no white streaks remain.
