Instructions

4.In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, sherry wine, granulated sugar, and warm water until sugar has dissolved. Add yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
5.In a separate large bowl, combine flour, shortening, extra finely granulated sugar, whole milk, vegetable oil, and baking powder. Knead until smooth and add in the yeast mixture, kneading until the dough is elastic.
6.Let the dough rise in a lightly greased bowl for 30-40 minutes. Roll dough into small balls and flatten into rounds, then fill with pork and vegetable mixtures. Fold the dough in half and seal the edges.
7.Place buns onto a lightly greased steamer and let them rise for another 10 minutes. Steam buns for 10-15 minutes until cooked, then serve hot.
