Ingredients

2 habanero peppers or 2 jalapeno chiles
1 large white onion , unpeeled and halved

3 garlic cloves , unpeeled

1 1/2 teaspoons oregano , minced ( preferably Mexican oregano ) or 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon cilantro , minced

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 450°F.
2.On a baking sheet, place habanero or jalapeno chiles, onions, tomatoes, and garlic.

4.Roast in the preheated oven until vegetables are charred, about 25 minutes.
5.Remove from the oven and let cool.
6.Remove skins from garlic and onions.
7.In a blender or food processor, combine vegetables with cilantro and salt.
8.Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
