Instructions

1.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, black pepper, and salt.
2.Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, milk, vegetable oil, and egg until just combined.
3.Fold in the green chilies, jalapeno pepper, and red bell pepper.
4.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
5.In a separate bowl, mix the room temperature butter, shredded cheddar cheese, romano cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt.
6.Slice each tomato into 4 equal slices.
7.Slice the sandwich breads horizontally making a passage for the toppings.
8.Spread a generous amount of the butter mixture inside each half of the bread and lay 2 tomato slices on each bottom half of the bread.
9.Pour a spoonful of the batter over the tomato slices and spread evenly
10.Place the sandwich halves on a baking sheet and bake them for about 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
