2 -3 lbs steak ( skirt or flank )
Chile Carne Asada is a Mexican dish consisting of marinated and grilled steak. The steak is typically served thinly sliced and used as a main course, or in tacos, burritos, or salads. This recipe uses dried red chili peppers for a spicy kick, lime juice, and cumin to create a flavorful marinade. The result is a juicy and succulent steak with a smoky and spicy flavor. This dish is perfect for those who love Mexican cuisine and bold flavors.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
2.Toast the dried red chili peppers in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and let them cool.
3.Remove the stems and seeds from the chili peppers and place them in a blender. Add in lime juice, cumin, and water (enough to cover the chili peppers).
4.Blend until smooth. Reserve some of the chili paste for basting later, and pour the rest over the steak.
5.Marinate the steak in the chili paste for at least one hour, or overnight, in the fridge.
6.Grill the steak over high heat for 3-5 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with the reserved chili paste.
7.Transfer the steak to a plate, cover with foil, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
