Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken/pork, shallots, scallions, shiitake mushrooms, minced garlic, chopped water chestnuts, shrimp, grated gingerroot, black pepper, and soy sauce.
2.Spoon in a teaspoon of the filling onto the center of a wonton wrapper.
3.Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and bring the edges together to form a triangle.
4.Pinch the edges and press to seal.
5.Boil salt water in a large pot and add wontons.
6.Cook the wontons for 5-7 minutes or until they float to the surface.
7.In a separate pot, add sliced gingerroot, sliced shallots, and chicken broth. Bring it to a boil.
8.Add fresh cilantro to the broth.
