Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders , raw ( packaged as `` stir fry chicken '' )
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup plain fat-free yogurt
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 yellow onion , chopped
water , as needed

4 ounces diced green chilies , canned
1 1/2 cups tomato puree , canned

1/2 cup cream
2 tablespoons green coriander leaves , chopped ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, marinate the chicken tenders with lemon juice and salt.
2.In another mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, ginger paste, garam masala, salt, white pepper powder, chili powder, cumin powder and 1 tablespoon of oil.
3.Add the marinated chicken tenders to the mixture and coat them well.
4.Preheat a grill or a grill pan and cook the chicken tenders until they are nicely browned.
5.In a pan, heat 1/2 tablespoon of oil and sauté the chopped onions until they turn golden brown.
6.Add water as needed and mix in the ginger paste, minced garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala and salt. Cook until the spices are fragrant.
7.Add the diced green chilies, canned tomato puree and lemon juice and cook until the mixture thickens.
8.Add the grilled chicken tenders to the curry mixture and stir well.
9.Finally, add the butter and cream and let it simmer for a few minutes.
10.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves if desired and enjoy!
