2 brown onions , sliced thinly
5 -6 garlic cloves , minced
2 tablespoons good quality olive oil
3 -4 teaspoons ras el hanout spice mix
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 cup water
1/2 cup dates , carefully stoned
1/4 cup good quality honey
1/2 cup blanched almond , roasted
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon fresh coriander , roughly chopped

Instructions
