Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken
10 slices bread , large
1 medium potato , boiled and mashed
1 medium onion , chopped
1 medium tomatoes , chopped
1/2 cup green peas , boiled and mashed
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 cup spring onion , chopped
1/2 cup cheese , grated
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste , freshly made in mixer
1 tablespoon hot sauce
red chili powder , to taste
4 -6 egg whites
salt
ghee or oil , to fry
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
The Chicken Sesame Open Sandwich is a modern take on the classic sandwich. The chicken and egg provide protein which makes it a filling lunch option. The bread, mashed potatoes, and cheese give it a wholesome taste, which is enhanced by the sesame seeds. Spring onions are used to garnish the sandwich which not only adds to its appearance but also its nutritional value.

Instructions

1.In a pan, add ghee/oil and heat it up on medium heat.
2.Add ginger-garlic paste and onion, sauté until it gets soft.
3.Add red chili powder, garam masala, green peas, tomatoes, and sauté it properly.
4.Then, add boiled mashed potatoes, chicken, salt and hot sauce, cook it for about 5-6 minutes, and let it cool down.
5.In a separate bowl, mix egg whites and grated cheese.
6.Take 2 slices of bread, apply the chicken mixture on one side, and spread the mixture evenly.
7.Dip the other plain side to the egg-cheese mixture and sprinkle it with sesame seeds.
8.Put it on the same pan with ghee/oil and let it fry until it becomes golden brown.
9.Serve hot with the garnish of spring onions.
